Who this program is for

This program is aimed at leaders of people and specialists who want to be highly effective in leading and working within virtual teams.

The ideal group size for this program is between eight and 12 participants to ensure each person has the opportunity to participate in discussions, ask questions and practice coaching.


What to expect on this program

During this program, participants learn the virtual coaching skills to:

  • listen to and hear a person you cannot see (listen/hear).
  • use language to communicate a message and illustrate (educate/illustrate).
  • keep a coachee engaged in a virtual setting by using inclusive language (include/involve).
  • be present and use language to match, mirror and adapt to the coachee’s pace/tone/mood (relate/respond).
  • be and sound authentic (voice/tone).
  • use context, stories and anecdotes (language/contextualise).
  • combine listening and language to deepen a coachee’s understanding and self-awareness (evoke/challenge).
  • use visioning and distinctions to expand potential (stretch/involve).
  • identify gaps and blind spots, and create accountability in a way that empowers the coachee (structure/support).

When leaders can inspire and enable members of virtual teams to realise their potential and develop their skills and capability, it not only improves performance, it:

  • improves virtual meeting attendance; and

How participants learn

The program is delivered virtually via Zoom using the break-out session functionality which allows our trainers to facilitate engaging and solution-oriented sessions.

The program is delivered over the course of two months.

Prior to the program, participants will need to complete preparation work including reading and watching videos. Then, following the completion of each session, participants receive additional resources (e.g., recommended books, podcasts and videos) and set an on-the job assignment that will further reinforce the learning objectives.
