For new leaders being placed in front of a new or existing team, there is a challenge. Put simply, this challenge is how best to bring "new leaders" up to speed as quickly and efficiently as possible while not overwhelming them or alienating them from the new team. The New Leader Integration process supports leaders in their new roles and aligns the leader and the team early on.
How The Course Is Structured
This one day program provides focus for the new leader on the team and provides a vital framework for success in the new role, which includes:
- A personal action plan and strategy for success in new role for next 100 days: which activities will be most effective now and in the short term.
- Clarity for the new team regarding the new leader and lets the team help their new leader succeed.
- Provides the new leader information on potential blocks and pitfalls in the new role, and the ability to address them early on.
- Five to seven key questions that are developed together with the team.
It is beneficial for the new leader to already be working with the team in order for the process to yield the greatest impact. The ideal timing to run this program is in the first 6 to 8 weeks in the new job role.
