TNM Coaching Academy: Our review of 2021
As we are nearing the end of 2021, we look back on a year where the practice of meditation has been more important than ever. It’s been a turbulent year, charged with uncertainty and disruption. Yet it’s this very energy which has guided us towards change. Change to invite more calm into our lives. Change to pursue growth and development. And change to become a beacon of light in a sometimes dark world, in order to illuminate the path for others to follow.
How our community has grown
Our community continues to grow and we are so proud of each and every one of our members. We have watched as transformations have occurred, and positive effects have rippled through the lives of many. More than ever, we have seen our members take the plunge and leave the daily grind, leaving behind an old life which never resonated with our being or ever really fulfilled us. It takes courage to step outside of our comfort zone and we are overjoyed to see this materialise.
As we end a year that defined us
This December we feel an inevitable sense of fatigue as the year comes to a close. During this month we often get caught up in to-do lists and the manic rush to complete everything before the holidays and festivities. Our routines can fall by the wayside as we struggle to get everything done. Stick to rituals which nourish, repair and energise you. Journal in the morning and allow your mind to declutter and return to clarity. Commit to meditation. This sacred time really frees the mind of anxiety and worry, helping you to create a forcefield of tranquility - think of it as your superpower! Indulge in relaxing baths with candles, essential oils and mineral salts; this could be a wonderful night-time practice to take away the stress of the day and wash away any angst. In these ways, we can honour ourselves and ensure we don’t burn out.
What did we learn
This year has presented us with many challenges and lessons. It’s often during difficult times that we grow and learn in big ways. So what insights and wisdom have we grasped these past few months?
- Slow down and live in the present moment. By living in the present, we are able to truly appreciate all the wonderful moments and memories we make.
- Health is our wealth. Eat healing foods, drink plenty of water, exercise, meditate and get plenty of sleep.
- Seize the day and live life to the fullest. Living through lockdowns has been difficult but it has taught us to say yes to invitations and opportunities and get out there, rather than stay in the comfort of our homes.
- Lean into your tribe - our community really helps us through the hard times. Our nearest and dearest can provide a huge amount of comfort to our lives. Let’s keep looking after each other.
- Value what you have. A warm bed, friends who love us, our beloved pets, fresh food, running water. We should be counting these small but important things as the little luxuries in life that make everything so much easier.
Looking towards the future
With January around the corner, we can’t help but feel a renewed sense of hope. We are slowly adjusting to a new world, equipped with the tools that have helped us navigate around it with a quiet sense of confidence. Putting these skills into practice in the new year is an exciting prospect. January is a blank slate - full of hope and promise. It’s time to design our lives and dictate what we want the New Year to look like. Go within and dive deep, what do YOU want from the year ahead? What ignites you? What lights you up? Make an action plan and attack it with gusto!
In these times it’s important to look forward and carry the belief that a better future lies ahead of us. How can we better the world? What can we contribute and how can we express our gifts? How can we reach out to others and spread joy? These questions can guide us and allow our current state of affairs to evolve into one of consciousness, spiritual healing and unity to help us overcome our struggles. By supporting one another and forging ahead, we can create powerful changes. Never underestimate the impact of your actions, big or small.
