"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other." Carlos Castaneda
When we hear the word "shaman," most of us tend to conjure up an image of a costumed indigenous tribal person, dancing around a fire in the dark, involved in some sort of mysterious ritual, accompanied by singing and drinking herbal tea. But behind that costume and ritual, there is a person with a set of very real skills.
Shamanic Leadership harnesses these skills through the four stances, archetypes, and strategies of a shamanic leader:
Healer - who sheds the past
Warrior - who overcomes fear of death
Teacher - who learns directly from knowledge without suffering
Visionary - who designs the future
Given the right conditions, our conscious awareness can expand dramatically, allowing us to have that direct, transpersonal connection with the sacred realm. We uncover psychological and spiritual methods for transformation whilst applying all insights gained on the program to their roles as leaders.
